For the love of art and beer, a brewery and a nonprofit join forces to mix together some creative influences among the community.
In an effort to showcase many talents, Kochendorfer Brewing Company has teamed up with AutismOklahoma for a collaborative can launch, showcasing “The Art of Beer” through creative partnerships.
From sharing the love of art and people with autism, the two came up the idea for the “Art of Beer.”
According to a release, KBC will release a series of cans to the public to highlight the original works of the artists, “one neurodiverse and one neurotypical.”
“What you will see is the result of friendship, partnership, and the magic that happens when interest plus opportunity meet,” a release states. “The can releases are part of AutismOklahoma’s signature 20th anniversary events lineup.”
The celebration will kick off from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Kochendorfer Brewing Company with the first can release.
The event will include a can launch of “Sour Wheat,” a meet and greet with artists with Clint Stone and Alex Geddes and an opportunity to purchase a t-shirt or a print.
During the event, there will also be a food truck and live music to celebrate the “Art of Beer.”
Since April kicks off Global Autism Month, the two will share their collaborative can in Oklahoma City during the AutismOklahoma’s Duets show.
The event will feature “an additional 15 original works by Duets artist pairs,” from 6-9 p.m. on April 1 at the at Paseo Arts and Creativity Center, according to a release.
Artist’s will be in attendance for singing, as well as to talk about their work.
A release states, “Kochendorfer Brewing Company has a passion for creativity, and so does AutismOklahoma.”
